After the market closed, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters (GMCR) reported earnings of 34 cents a share. That beat Wall Street’s view, but frankly, I was expecting a lot more.
The really bad news is that Green Mountain sees earnings for this quarter coming in between 11 and 15 cents a share. That’s below Wall Street’s estimates of 19 cents a share.
The good part is that the company raised its EPS estimate for all of next year to $1.75 to $1.85 from its earlier range of $1.70 to $1.80. The stock is down about 9% after hours. I still have GMCR rated as a Buy.
