Jobless Claims Fall

Today’s jobless claims report showed that new claims dropped by 21,000 to 530,000 which was below Wall Street’s consensus. Wall Street is deeming this good news, but the unemployment rate will still rise.

One of the problems is that Congress put in all these extended jobless benefits so now companies are hiring more foreign workers on temporary VISAs since they’re cheaper than hiring Americans.
