We’ve just past the peak of earnings season although there are still many more reports to come. Wall Street will be focused on Friday’s employment report.
On Monday, the ISM manufacturing index will be released. Also, the Treasury Department will announce its borrowing requirements for the third and fourth quarters.
On Tuesday, Kraft Foods (KFT) and Toyota Motor (TM) post quarterly results. Also, the ISM nonmanufacturing index will be released.
On Wednesday, Procter & Gamble (PG) and Cisco (CSCO) report earnings. We’ll also get a preview of what the official employment report may hold when ADP issues its report.
On Thursday, there are two central bank meeting–the Bank of England the European Central Bank. The ECB will probably keep rates at 1%, but it’s still unclear what the Bank of England will do.
Friday is the day of the key employment report. The jobless rate will probably climb to 9.6% of 9.7%.
